Brian Rotich is a final year student at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) pursuing a BSc. in Public Health and a tech enthusiast at the same time. His passion and belief are in building a future to smile about through code. Technology is the future, and the community needs assistance in any way possible, specifically in the health and education sector. He is committed to developing and delivering products that give the community reasons to smile, products they will trust, and products that reimagine a healthier and engaging future.
He garnered public health experience as an Intern at Chepkigen Health Center in Eldoret, where he had the chance to engage with the people in the community through health engagements. He also has community development experience from high school, where he was an active Presidential Award member. Part of the activities to be undertaken while at the program was community development. He visited orphanages, where he spent a day with the children and assisted them in their daily chores, and engaged in co-curricular activities. From this, he gained the vision of building a community accessible to everyone.
Apart from his bachelor education, he has a certificate from the University of Helsinki in Artificial Intelligence (AI), a certificate from Free Code Camp in Responsive web design, and is currently enrolled in a software engineering program at ALX to grow his skills and pursue his dream of becoming a Software Engineer.
