Residing in Lisbon, Portugal, Dr. Jorge Carvalho is the Director of the Sports Department of the Portuguese Institute of Sports and Youth. He is an expert of the working group for Sport of the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth under the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2021. Dr. Carvalho serves as a lecturer in Higher Education at the Faculty of Human Motricity, University of Lisbon, and at the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal. He is also a researcher in European projects under the ERASMUS + Sport Program of the European Union, namely InSport Project, Sport Inclusion – Full Participation in Sport by Persons with Disabilities. Jorge is a trainer in the field of Sport at an international level, particularly in Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Macau, Mozambique and São Tomé and Príncipe. He is also the mentor of the Paralympic Committee of Cape Verde and Guinea-Bissau, in the organizational and human resources training, within the Organizational Capacity Program of the Agitos Foundation and the International Paralympic Committee.
