Bordan Arogo was born and raised in Homabay County, Kenya. He did his primary education in Homabay, secondary education in Kakamega, and later joined the University of Nairobi to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology. He has a strong interest in understanding human behavior and why they act the way they do and this is what motivated him to pursue this career. His undergraduate program equipped him with excellent skills and knowledge in understanding and explaining human mental processes, thoughts, behaviors, and socio-cultural differences among various groups of people. He graduated from the University of Nairobi in 2018 and started working as a voluntary social worker at Focus Medical and Rehabilitation Centre in Nairobi.
He later joined his home church where he served as one of the church elders in charge of the youth ministry. Here, he performed several duties including teachings on spiritual growth and development, life skills training, stress management skills, peer counseling, and general mental health awareness. This unique experience has made him develop a strong passion and interest in finding effective solutions to the current psychosocial problems and challenges that people go through.
He is greatly humbled and happy to be part of the Wellness for Greatness.
