Ishita comes from a mix of public health-medical background with an undergraduate degree in medical studies completed in India and a masters in public health from the UK. Health inequity and inequality have played a pivotal role in grooming her opinion towards the healthcare system in a developing country from a young age and have played a key role in shaping her professional career. With five years of experience revolving around the public, private and voluntary sectors from various countries, she strongly resonates with population and community health. She has notably been involved with various behavior-based community programs such as Henry’s healthy start mentorship program, malnutrition outreach program initiated across Mumbai suburb, Kikwetu Foundation’s ‘For her benefit’ program for the teenage girls in Nairobi and other counties.
