Sharon Wawira is a young professional in international affairs having graduated with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in International Relations and Diplomacy. She is especially passionate about policy, practice, and research in social and economic development with specificity to achieving sustainable development goals.
Sharon joined Wellness for Greatness as a project associate aiming to work towards incorporating physical fitness and health with wildlife and environmental conservation. Her knowledge and experience in environmental diplomacy as well as her contribution as part of an environmental conservation youth group, has further increased and enabled her to actively participate in this endeavor.
Prior to this, she has been involved in different in and off-campus initiatives including setting up a mental health awareness event as part of the UNESCO club, Riara Chapter, volunteering, and conferences such as the Sub Saharan Africa International Model United Nations where she was involved in the innovation of solutions to global issues.
She has also gained work experience from her role as a communications assistant at Hinya Publication Ltd involving herself in the research and writing of articles for contemporary African affairs, mostly art. She gained skills in writing, report, data research, collection and recording, communications, and social media management.
As part of her self-taught journey and hobby, she does digital art, animations, and character illustrations.
